To our families and our Gurwood community,
We can't believe how quickly Term 1 for 2026 has flown by! We've watched our centre continue to grow, welcoming so many new faces — both families and educators. We are so blessed to have such a caring and interactive community, and we continue to look forward to the many achievements throughout this year, even if time is moving way too quickly!
We hope all our families, children, and educators had a lovely Easter break. However you spent your time, we hope you rested and relaxed as we head into another busy term.
There are many exciting events and activities planned for the term and the rest of the year — so sit back, have a read, and make sure you partake in everything we have in store.
A Term Full of Kindness & Fun
Our community cake drive raised $927 for the lovely Vearing family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and an enormous thank you to every single person who baked, donated, purchased a plate, or contributed in any way. We're so lucky to be part of such a caring and supportive community.
We saw so many guesses for the Easter eggs in the jar — but one was better than the rest. Ryker guessed 165 and took the win! A very big well done to Ryker. Enjoy those eggs, and Happy Easter to all our families.
Well done to our ladies for winning lunch from Satchello's Pizza in their social media draw. A much-deserved lunch on the house — enjoyed by all the team!
A Well-Deserved Night Off
We know how hard our parents work — and sometimes you just need a break to switch off. We're thrilled to present our inaugural Parents' Night Out, running every Friday in May. Make sure to sign up, and if you have any questions, just speak with the team at the front desk.

Our First Excursion 🚌
Our very first excursion was a wonderful success — and so much fun! We travelled by bus to Wagga Public School for their Easter Hat Parade. Miss Pokoney welcomed us into her classroom, where she read a story and chatted with the children about kindergarten ("big school"). We also enjoyed a funny video before joining the school for a lap around the grounds as part of the parade.
The children were so well behaved and had an amazing time. The highlight of the day may well have been the bus ride itself, with lots of happy chatter and excitement on the way there and back.
Here's to a Wonderful
Term 2 of Learning & Fun!
