Music Has Always Been Amy's Story

Amy has always had a strong passion for music. She started learning the piano from around the age of four with her Nan, and has been playing and composing music for over 25 years.

That same passion is what she brings to every child at Gurwood — a warm, joyful, and inclusive love of music that helps our little ones learn, connect, and express themselves.

Since 2012, Lil' Melodies has provided quality, inclusive music and movement programs for hundreds of children each term — regardless of background or ability.

Amy's passion for connecting people with music created pathways for those without a music background to learn and self-express in a non-formal setting — through her ukulele & keyboard programs, creative camps, and adult workshops.

In 2019, Amy became a registered sound therapist, deepening her understanding of how music supports wellbeing, calm, and connection in young children.

In 2021, Amy became a licensed Kinder Beat Piano Prep provider, adding another trusted, structured pathway into early music learning.
