Quokkas & Koalas Rooms

Quokkas Room:  24 to 30 months
Koalas Room:   30 to 36 months

Our Quokkas & Koalas room will provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to nurture and support the growth and learning of your child. Our curriculum is centred around creating a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can explore, plan and learn while developing essential skills and achieving important milestones.

Development stages:

Physical Development: Children in this age group are refining their fine and gross motor skills. They are learning to walk, run and climb while improving hand-eye coordination through activities like drawing and stacking.

Cognitive Development: Their cognitive abilities are rapidly growing. They are becoming more curious and interested in their surroundings. Simple problem-solving, language development and memory skills are emerging.

Social and Emotional Development: This age is marked by growing independence and social interactions. Children begin to show empathy and develop attachments to caregivers.  They may experience separation anxiety, which is a normal part of development.

Language Development: Vocabulary expands quickly. They start using basic sentences, follow simple instructions and engage in conversations with others.

Creativity and Play: Play is a vital aspect of their development. They explore the world through imaginative and pretend play, enhancing creativity and problem-solving skills .

In summary, our Quokkas & Koala rooms focuses on providing a nurturing and safe environment that promotes development in physical, cognitive, social and emotional domains. We aim to foster independence, curiosity and a love for learning through play-based activities while maintaining open and effective communication with parents to keep them involved in their child’s development.
