Are you a passionate and experienced teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education?
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and lead inspiring, research-informed learning experiences for children at Gurwood Early Learning.
About the Role:
As a valued member of our teaching team, you will design and deliver an educational program that integrates evidence-based teaching practices with a play-based curriculum. You will support children’s holistic development through engaging, meaningful learning opportunities that reflect best practice and current research in early childhood education.
At Gurwood, we extend learning beyond the classroom with routine excursions and a Bush and Nature Play curriculum, allowing children to connect with the natural environment, develop curiosity, and build resilience. You’ll also mentor educators, collaborate with families, and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (approved qualification)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an early childhood teaching role
- Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, child development principles, and child safe practices
- Commitment to research-based, evidence-informed pedagogy within a play-based learning approach
- Experience in planning, documenting, and evaluating high quality educational programs
- Passion for outdoor learning and embedding Bush and Nature Play principles into the curriculum
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
