Are you a passionate cook who loves creating healthy, delicious, and child-friendly meals?
About the Role:
As our centre cook, you will play a vital role in nourishing little bodies and minds by preparing nutritious meals that align with the Munch & Move guidelines. You’ll work closely with educators to tailor menus, ensuring meals are both healthy and appealing to young children. You will also be involved in the curriculum engaging children in cooking experiences and participating in our garden program to grow fresh produce. .
What We’re Looking For:
- Industry experience in cooking for children (early childhood or similar setting preferred)
- Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong understanding of child nutrition, allergy management, and dietary requirements
- Experience with Munch & Move guidelines and a passion for healthy eating
- Ability to adapt meals for fussy eaters while meeting nutritional needs
- A team player who communicates well with educators to support menu planning
- Willingness to engage with children through cooking experiences and gardening activities
